MBA Consulting Engineers provided full structural engineering design and consultancy services for this landmark coastal development, delivering a bold and elegant residential building that makes a striking statement on the Cornish coastline.

The building’s sweeping curved form, extensive use of glazing, and exposed structural elements demanded innovative engineering solutions throughout the design and construction process. The project comprises a series of luxury apartments over multiple levels, with generous sea-facing balconies and high-specification finishes.

Our engineering brief centred on realising the architect’s vision of a fluid, uninterrupted building envelope featuring a curved reinforced concrete frame that supports long-span floor plates and extensive glazed façades, providing uninterrupted coastal views; cantilevered balconies and slab edges, carefully engineered to minimise visual structure while maintaining performance under wind and live loads.
