MBA Consulting provided full structural and civil engineering services for this bespoke coastal home, located in a heavily mined area with complex geometry and minimal wall alignment.

A mix of construction methods were used to accommodate open-plan layouts, level changes, extensive glazing, and varied materials. A robust steel frame was introduced at upper levels to withstand high coastal wind loads.

The site’s topography necessitated cut ground levels at the rear, supported by a new cast in-situ concrete retaining wall.
