MBA Consulting provided full structural and civil engineering services for this housing development on a brownfield site near St Ives.

The homes were constructed using traditional cavity block work on strip footings, with off-site engineered timber floors and trussed rafter roofs specified to reduce on-site work and maintain build quality.

Several units featured curved geometry, requiring bespoke lintel designs to accommodate offset loads.

Civils design included roads, levels and drainage, all carefully coordinated with the substructure to minimise on-site clashes and design changes during the construction process.
