MBA Consulting provided full structural engineering services for this new medical centre, combining three GP practices into a single facility to serve the local community.

The building was constructed using traditional cavity blockwork and pre-stressed concrete planks for the first floor, selected for their durability, acoustic performance, and ease of construction.

Working closely with the design and build contractor, MBA Consulting simplified the structure through repetitive design elements, adapting to site constraints and unforeseen ground conditions. Services included full structural design, risk assessments, and specifications, with ongoing client and contractor liaison.

The facility includes GP practices, community and secondary care services, an adjoining pharmacy and the St Clare Suite forming consultation rooms and theatres for visiting clinicians.
