This was a unique project involving eight members of staff where MBA were responsible for the overall Civil and Structural engineering design for the construction of three new fabrication halls and office accommodation, over and near the existing wet dock.

The works required considerable coordination with the operations of the shipyard and with the many buried services beneath the proposed site.

The structure was formed using steel framing which extended 20m to eaves with multiple runway cranes.

MBA’s involvement extended to the design of the external hard-standings areas suitable to accommodate the lifting operations for large boats.
